Following Ben's excellent demonstration of CS5 last week atAston Science Park, I've been checking out prices, etc. on the internet. Leaving aside the educational discounts there would appear to be some incredible prices being quoted out there. It appears that you can download the software for CS5 extended for around $109 from some sites - in fact I just found one quoting $69! - see
