Midlands Macintosh User Group

Can anyone help? i just downloaded google chrome ,should i have this as my main browser? it is sitting in bar at bottom of my macbook at the moment ,if it is the best one to use how do i get it to take over normal google that comes up when i open safari? sorry about layout of post oldman lollypop man DAVE
