Re: [MMUG] Upgrading from Tiger to Leopard

Remember that Snow Leopard will not work on a PPC Mac. Have you got the right version(the non frozen version 10.5)? Rick Sent from my iPhone 4

Re: [MMUG] Upgrading from Tiger to Leopard

Hi Javad You should be able to start up from the DVD. If that's not being recognised by the iMac then you're not going to get far in the process. I'm not sure what the other CDs are, sounds like you may have been sold/given a copy of something not 100% legitimate. The normal process is this Insert Install DVD

Upgrading from Tiger to Leopard

The curse of Ipad is now upon me. My Tiger would not respond to Ipad and I have to upgrade to Leopard(or any 10.5 OSX). I now have two sets of Leopard discs : a DVD double sided which is rejected by my iMac G5 and two cds . But no instruction how to use them to upgrade. It looks as if I have to use a bootable external memory disc or HD to

Re: [MMUG] MobileMe Ical Beta

Thanks Drew - did that check but still an issue. I think it is a fault with the Beta and there are some discussion groups talking about opting out of the Ical Beta as the only fix. It seems also that there is no option to synch Notes over the air to the Ipad whereas there is with the Iphone. Not sure if this went with the Ical Beta, or was never there in the first place. It would be desirable.

Re: [MMUG] HTML5 show off

The sequence looks really good. More than can be said for Hampton in Arden where I grew up. It would be good if Hampton did get some more trees to replace all the green open space that has been lost. Regards. Dave Cooper. This is really very nice. [link] Takes a while to get going, but its a pretty experience when it does - good song as well.

Re: [MMUG] dead iPod

Probably time to find a shoe box and dig a hole in the garden. Since its probably 6ish years old, the hard has most likely failed, and I doubt the battery has much life in it either. You could replace both yourself but the expense isn't worth it. Go get a nano and you'll pay less and get more. But seriously, take it back to Apple for recycling (they have to take it) and you may get a discount on a new one (that used to the the case anyway).

Re: [MMUG] Re: BBC iPlayer

What is the app? Searching ITunes store for BBC & iPlayer didn't find one when I looked (at least not anything that looked reputable). On a related note, the BBC releases figures comparing Android & iOS usage of iPlayer.… [link] Re:co

Re: [MMUG] Re: BBC iPlayer

Hi, Yes, as they say in Apple land, "There's an App for that". Just tried the iPlayer App again tonight and is now working correctly. Best regards Russell May Phone: +44 121 436 6944 Mobile: +44 796 733 7489

dead iPod

It had to happen. My beloved iPod seems to be dead. Last night I plugged it into my Macbook to add some music but iTunes said it had to be 'Restored' but singularly failed to be able to do this. It kept report a differing error number. I've read this, [link] but it was of no help.
