Nope, 720p is the best you will get Compatible with high-definition TVs with HDMI and capable of 720p 60/50Hz,2 including popular models from these manufacturers: Hitachi, JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, NEC, Panasonic, Philips, Pioneer, Samsung, Sony, Sharp, Toshiba, Vizio, Westinghouse USB port appears to be for service and support only, not external storage. For that, try the WDTV Live.

Re: [MMUG] Yummy new stuff

If the USB port is for the same use on mine then it's for system stuff not for connecting other drives etc.... Pete

Re: [MMUG] Yummy new stuff

It's a very good price seeing as mine cost £269 which equates to just over £1 per GB of storage. Now that's an expensive HDD! I just hope this one maintains it's sync connection with your main mac as mine has proved to be the least impressive Apple kit I've ever bought - purely on the hassle I've had with it. To put things into context 90% of the problems were with syncing of content from my iMac but this isn't a facility, so enjoy using it. Just a bit pissed a such a price drop:-)

Re: [MMUG] Yummy new stuff

Does it matter though? Every time apple launches a product people complain it's cheaper in the US, so is pretty much everything else - food, clothing, fuel, I don't see the issue. Nothing we can do about, still very cheap, what else is there that does all that with the ease and simplicity of an apple product?
