Re: [MMUG] Re: iPad question

And worth noting that if you want to access BBC video you need to locate the beta version of iPlayer on iPad, - on the iPhone it defaults to the HTML5 version, not on the iPad. Having said all that, I¹ve found the beta iPlayer works beautifully connected via the vga adapter to a decent projector it looked like it was

Re: [MMUG] Re: iPad question

did you turn the volume up? were there videos uploaded to the machine? can the nexus produce spreadsheets, email letters with tables and pictures or have a really cool, instantly recognisable, and sometimes despised corporate logo inscribed in beautiful, yet recyclable aluminium? ;-) buy an iPad, you know you want to.... go on, take the plunge, you'll

Re: [MMUG] Flash Player

You can update Flash to see if that helps, [link] Otherwise there is a 'Flash blocker' that works nicely with Safari, it just doesn't load the Flash files until you click on the boxes on the page. You can also add sites to always show Flash files (eg youtube). It's really nice, and it stops Flash using 90% of CPU. There are add ons for Firefox, Opera etc if you want to block Flash in other browsers.

Re: [MMUG] Re: iPad question

I wouldn't say PC World is an ideal test environment. You have no idea what their wifi network is like, and what content filtering they have. Saying that I did see an iPad in the Apple Store struggle to load the BBC Homepage over wifi but I think it was just a moment of trouble as it had no issues with other websites.

In addition to the height/ weight restrictions, are there health restrictions? Are you allowed to do it if you're diabetic?
