6th Sep, 2010How long is piece of string? It is as secure as it needs to be, there are some flaws & attacks to get access to your data so the usual rules apply. If someone has physical access they can probably read your data if they are smart enough, loss/ theft is the easiest way to loose data, especially with no PIN/ password on the phone.
5th Sep, 2010Since the business of phone hacking is in the news again, does anyone know hpw vulnerable or otherwise the new iPhone4 is? Or is it a function of the network you're on? In any case, is there anything we should be aware of re. Security/malicious attacks etc?

4th Sep, 2010Can anyone help? i just downloaded google chrome ,should i have this as my main browser? it is sitting in bar at bottom of my macbook at the moment ,if it is the best one to use how do i get it to take over normal google that comes up when i open safari? sorry about layout of post oldman lollypop man DAVE
4th Sep, 2010I used chrome as my main browser these days. I think that each tab has its own ring-fenced area of memory so if one page crashes it's just that tab, not the whole browser that crashes.
4th Sep, 2010Hello Dave Assuming you've been using Safari up till now for your web browsing antics, try Chrome out and see if you fancy using it as the default web browser rather than Safari. If you do, open Safari and go to the main Safari menu and choose Preferences. In the general tab you'll see the option for Default Web Browser and you'll be able to select Chrome from the list. Now, whenever you click on a web link such as this one, it'll open in Chrome.
4th Sep, 2010No worries - they're not without bugs but I believe they're still being actively developed, so bug-fixes do stil happen. On Sat, Sep 4, 2010 at 12:02 AM, Gordon Thornett
