MMUG events
Meetings are held on a monthly basis, guest presenters are welcome to demonstrate anything Mac related. Our topics have ranged from Mac basics to photography, video and the other joys of using Apple hardware.
It's also a good opportunity to discuss issues & meet local Mac users.

There have been overwhelming request from the members for another iMovie exploration evening - bring your iMovie projects to show off to the group and pic up a few new ways of doing stuff.
Exploring Xcode - Feb meeting
Apple’s computer systems have a well-deserved reputation of providing the easiest and richest computing environment. As Mac or iPhone users, we are privileged: great and easy to use software is the rule rather than the exception.
Sadly that rule hasn’t always applied to the tools and technologies used to create such programs. Learning to write software for the Mac has traditionally involved a major investment of effort and time in new tools and techniques.
This talk by Ian Piper, author of Learn Xcode Tools for Mac OS X and iPhone Development, is an introduction to how you can use the Xcode Tools to create great Mac and iPhone software, with a guided tour of the tools and technologies.January meeting
Our first 2010 meeting is a members meeting where members are invited to do a short presentation of around five minutes on a topic of their choice. Our membership covers a wide range of people with varied backgrounds each using their macs at home and work for all sorts of things.

Summer BBQ
Summer BBQ - relax and talk Mac with a gang of Macheads and some well cooked food.
The BBQ will be fired up around 7pm.

Entrance to the meeting is free for MMUG members or £3 for non-members and includes a raffle ticket. See our Membership page for details on joining the group.
The MMUG meetings are informal events, but include the following:
- Plenty of drinks and food
- What's New! - latest releases of hardware and software for the Mac
- Tutorial/Demo Session - A guided tutorial or presentation followed by discussion
- Software Offers - In conjunction with the Apple User Group Association we are able to offer discounts on a variety of products, but you can only get these at our meetings so come along
- Update Your Mac - bring along your iBook, iMac, PowerBook, PowerMac, or whatever you can fit in your bag to connect to our network and update it with the various new patches and system widgets available
- Reading Room - All the latest Mac mags and others devoted to creative technology
- Raffle!
The Midlands Macintosh User Group (MMUG) is a non-profit user group, run for and by Mac fanatics in the Midlands, UK. Your donations help buy refreshments and hire venues.
